Not the candidate's LinkedIn profile. Not how well the interview felt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What I have seen work in practice, time and again, is a combination of three things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A clear requirements profile \u2013 not a wish list, but a considered analysis of what the role actually demands in order to deliver results in this particular organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A structured assessment \u2013 competency-based interviews, relevant personality tools, and clear criteria that everyone involved in the process works from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A mature decision \u2013 where you have the courage to say no to \"good enough\" and wait for the right person, rather than filling the seat because the pressure to decide has become too great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It sounds straightforward.
