I have worked on hundreds of recruitment processes. Dozens of reorganizations. Countless leadership development programs.\nIf I had to point to one factor that determines whether things go well \u2014 every single time, without exception \u2014 it is the relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I mean by that<\/strong>

Not sympathy. Not liking each other.

In all of these contexts, the relationship is not a pleasant addition. It is the prerequisite for the work to be done properly.

What that means for how I work<\/strong>

I do not take on assignments I do not believe I can deliver. I speak up when I see something that needs to be said. And I invest in my client relationships over the long term \u2014 not just because it is good business, but because it is right.

That's the foundation for everything I do.
