It has taken me almost my entire career to become comfortable with who I am.
Not because I did not know who I was. But because the world does not always make room for you. And if you are not careful, you eventually start questioning yourself instead of the system.
I have made every mistake. Several times over. I have taken on too much responsibility and too little space. I have stayed too long in the wrong environments and left too quickly from the right ones. I have given more than I received – and then wondered why I felt empty.
But somewhere along the way, something shifted.
I stopped apologizing for taking up space. I learned to be kind to myself – not as a cliché, but as an active choice I need to make over and over again. I found an inner calm that does not depend on what anyone else thinks of me or my decisions.
I call that self-acceptance. And it is the hardest and most important work I have ever done.
Now I want to give something back.
Not as someone who has all the answers. But as someone who has walked a long, winding road – and who can help others find their footing a little faster. Skip some of the mistakes. Or at least realize sooner that who you are also matters.
It might be a young person looking for direction. A leader who has lost their compass. A team that is not functioning well but does not know why. An organization that needs someone to put a few pins on the map.
I now volunteer as a mentor and support person for young adults in my personal life. And with my background in coaching and organizational development, I can offer the same professionally – inside organizations where people need both a map and someone to help them read it.
This is not a service offering. It is a commitment.
