Right now, many companies are testing AI tools for recruitment, including job advertising, screening, and initial selection. And yes, it saves time.
But here is something not enough people are saying out loud:
AI tools are trained on historical data. That means they can systematically reproduce the same bias that already exists in your recruitment – only faster and at a greater scale.
It is an efficiency tool. Not an assessment tool.
What actually determines whether a hire succeeds is what AI can never replace: a structured, human assessment of behavior, potential, and how a person functions in your specific context. That is where the real recruitment decisions are made – not in an automated selection tool.
Use AI for what it is good at. But never let the algorithm do the work that requires experience and judgment.
