I have always advised others. Helped managers think through difficult decisions. Asked the questions nobody else asks.
But did I receive what I gave? Not early enough.
What I mean
I wish I had had a coach ten years ago. Not because things were in crisis. But because it would have made me better — faster.
I am talking about the decisions that are not difficult because the alternatives are unclear. They are difficult because they are personal. What do I actually want? Where am I heading? What am I willing to compromise on — and what not?
That kind of decision is rarely made better by thinking more on your own. It is made better by talking to the right person.
Why we wait
I think most people put it off because it feels like admitting they cannot manage on their own.
That is the wrong conclusion. Seeking support is not weakness — it is a sign that you take your own development seriously enough to invest in it. The most effective leaders I have met are not the ones who manage everything alone. They are the ones who know when they need help and actually ask for it.
What I take from it
If you have thoughts, questions, or just want to talk something through – feel free to reach out. I'm always happy to have an initial conversation with no agenda.

Right person. Right place. Everything changes.
